SETTING UP DIALUP FOR XVI - WINDOWS XP 1. If you have multiple accounts you will have to do this process for everyone. Click on the account you want to have internet access then proceed to step 2. 2. Click on start, then control panel. 3. On the lefthand side of the screen under "Control Panel", click on "Switch to Classic View" 4. Now double click on Internet Options 5. On the General tab, delete what is in the address line and type in: http://www.xvi.net/ then click on the Connections Tab. 6. On the connections tab click on Add. 7. Choose Dial-up to private network and click next. 8. Type in the phone number you are dialing. The Dial-in numbers are: 690-2200-Lowell, 992-2223-Morocco, 756-0851-Hobart & Lake Station. Then click next. 9. Type the name XVI. and click finish. 10. A screen instantly pops up and you'll want to enter in under dial-up settings your xvi username and password. type in "xvi.net" for the domain and click ok. 11. Make sure that always dial my default connection is checked and click on apply then ok. 12. Your dialup connection has now been created, to test it close the control panel and any other open windows and click on the start button then go to internet explorer and click it. 13. You will now be looking at the connect to screen. if not click on the "home" button then push connect. It will now try to dial into our server. You should see verifying username/password dialog come up and hear some noise from your modem. 14. After you are connected you should be at our homepage: http://www.xvi.net If not first click the home button and make sure you are connected.
