SETTING UP OUTLOOK EXPRESS FOR XVI
Click here to manually change account settings, or to manually add another email account. 1. Inside outlook Express, click on "Tools" (along the top) and then on "Accounts" (on the pop-up menu). 2. Click on "Add" and then on "Mail."
3. Fill in your email address in the line "E-mail Address." Click on "Next."
4. Your "Incoming mail server" is mail.xvi.net If your email address is not a xvi.net email address, then fill in the appropriate server name. Your "Outgoing mail server" will also be mail.xvi.net Press "Next."
5. Your "Account Name" is your username, and your "Password" is your password. You can make sure "Remember Password" is checked if you want Outlook Express to remember your password. Click "Next."
Manually Changing Outlook Settings 1. Click on "Tools" > "Accounts" then the"Mail" tab. Double-click on the mail account you want to change, or click "Add" > "Mail" to make a new account.
2. On the "General" tab, be sure to fill in your full name, your email address, and your Reply-To address.
3. On the "Servers" tab, be sure to fill in the mail servers, and your username. You can put your password in and choose to save it if you want. Your incoming and outgoing mail servers should be "mail.xvi.net" unless your email address is not a xvi.net email address, then fill in the appropriate server name.
4. Click "Ok" on this window, and "Close" on the "Internet Accounts" window, and you are finished. |
